Mrs. Kumkum Tandon
Following her graduation from Lady Sri Ram College, Kumkum Tandon became interested in theater and did stage plays in leading roles while also giving talks and doing plays on radio from 1965 through 1969. In the early 1970s, she did stage plays to collect funds for Mahila Samriti, a social organization for the betterment of the staff of Railways, when her husband was posted in Lucknow in Railways. Starting in the late 1980s and through the early 2000s, Kumkum Tandon worked for Derek O’Brien as a chief coordinator for the entire Western Zone Cadbury Bournvita Quiz Contest. Her role included visiting schools and coordinating and organizing quiz competitions across Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Her husband, late Mr. Dinesh Kumar Tandon, has been associated with YUVA Healthcare from its inception and was most recently appointed as chairman of the group. He was passionate about the project and Kumkum Tandon wants to carry his vision to see this institution make a significant impact in the healthcare of the country by creating highly skilled nurses, technicians and other healthcare workers to meet with the increasing demand of using sophisticated technology in the present day medical facilities.
Given her wide ranging experiences, Kumkum Tandon brings strong organizational and communication skills that will be invaluable in her role as a director of YUVA Healthcare.
Mr. Vinay Singhal
An engineering graduate from BITS Pilani and an alumnus of Harvard Business School, Vinay worked in reputed Indian and MNC organizations – DCM, Hindustan Unilever, JK, Indo Rama and Fortis Healthcare.
Has General Management experience via his role as President/ CEO of JK, Indo Rama, Fortis Healthcare, where he had bottom line responsibilities. As CEO of Fortis Healthcare he erected and operationalized the most modern (at its launch) 300 Bed Hospital at Mohali, in record time of 18 months, following global standards in collaboration with PHS, Boston (affiliates of Harvard Medical School).
In 2005, he joined Clinton Foundation and steered the Foundation’s activities, the largest country operation during his tenure. Vinay joined Impact Senior Living Estates Ltd. in Dec.07 as Director to lead the Team for the Planning and Execution of the Senior Living Project. Currently he is also leading Nanhi Chhaan, a Foundation engaged for increasing awareness against Female feticide & infanticide and empowering women while nurturing and planting trees.
After completing his assignment with Clinton Foundation he resumed the work at his Consulting Company – SJV Consultants, primarily functioning in Healthcare and Education. SJV represents PHS (Partners Healthcare System, an $ 8 billion largest Academic Institution of US. (affiliates of Harvard Medical School) ; represents Mazzetti Inc., largest MEP Engineering company for Healthcare & Education sectors based at SFO, US.
He is on Board of Nanobiosym Inc. (a Boston based co. planning a large Nanobio tech Park in India); is an Advisor to the President of SRM Univ.; is on the Board of Governors of JK Business School; is Senior Advisor to EPSI and EIF, associations dealing with Education; is member of TAG for PATH( a large US NGO); and is Board member of several Indian Cos. and NGOs.
